What it means in practice
90 days is about three months. If you arrive on 1 November 2026, your last legal day is 29 January 2027, because the arrival day is day one. Use the stay calculator for your own dates.
How Belarus counts your stay: Visa-free: up to 30 days per visit, no extension. Stays longer than 10 working days must be registered with the migration office or on portal.gov.by; hotels do it at check-in. Late registration is fined.

At the border
Official details are shown in English.
- Passport valid at least 90 days beyond your planned departure from Belarus (airport scheme)
- Medical insurance for at least €10,000 and proof of funds
- Declare cash over US$10,000 on a customs form and keep it: you cannot take out more than you declared
- When leaving by air to Russia, make sure you get a Belarusian exit stamp, or you will not be let back in
- The land border with Ukraine is closed
How to avoid overstaying
- Go by your stamp or visa. The date the officer gives you is the one that counts, even if it is shorter than the maximum.
- Plan to leave a day or two early. With 90 days, book your exit before the last legal day so a cancelled flight doesn't push you over.
- Extend before you run out. Visa-free stays cannot be extended; longer stays need a visa.
- Penalties. Our data does not list the overstay penalty for Belarus. Ask the immigration authority before you risk it: fines, deportation and entry bans are common elsewhere.
