Belarus visa for Emirati citizens

Visa-free

90 days visa-free

Emirati citizens can visit Belarus without a visa for up to 90 days. Several governments, including the UK, advise against all travel to Belarus. Arriving on a flight from Russia counts as a domestic flight, so visa-free schemes do not apply — you need a Belarusian or Russian visa.

What it means in practice

90 days is about three months. If you arrive on 1 November 2026, your last legal day is 29 January 2027, because the arrival day is day one. Use the stay calculator for your own dates.

How Belarus counts your stay: Visa-free: up to 30 days per visit, no extension. Stays longer than 10 working days must be registered with the migration office or on portal.gov.by; hotels do it at check-in. Late registration is fined.

Before you go

Official details are shown in English.

  • Medical insurance (min. €10,000) — Before departure; valid in Belarus for the whole stay; Depends on insurer. Required for visa applicants and for visa-free arrivals; may be checked at the border. Official site
  • Proof of funds — Carry on arrival; —. At least 2 base rates per day of stay (50 base rates for 30 days), in Belarusian roubles or foreign currency; cash, card or travellers' cheques. Official site

At the border

Official details are shown in English.

  • Passport valid at least 90 days beyond your planned departure from Belarus (airport scheme)
  • Medical insurance for at least €10,000 and proof of funds
  • Declare cash over US$10,000 on a customs form and keep it: you cannot take out more than you declared
  • When leaving by air to Russia, make sure you get a Belarusian exit stamp, or you will not be let back in
  • The land border with Ukraine is closed

How to avoid overstaying

  • Go by your stamp or visa. The date the officer gives you is the one that counts, even if it is shorter than the maximum.
  • Plan to leave a day or two early. With 90 days, book your exit before the last legal day so a cancelled flight doesn't push you over.
  • Extend before you run out. Visa-free stays cannot be extended; longer stays need a visa.
  • Penalties. Our data does not list the overstay penalty for Belarus. Ask the immigration authority before you risk it: fines, deportation and entry bans are common elsewhere.

Good to know
