• Saint Lucia Electronic Immigration Form — Within 3 days before arrival; Free. For arrivals by air: one form per family or group, with flight details, passport details for everyone and a valid e-mail address. You receive a QR code by e-mail to show on arrival. If you miss it, you can fill it in in the departure lounge, on board with Wi-Fi, or on arrival (free airport Wi-Fi or a paper form). Cruise passengers follow the cruise line's procedures. • Passport valid beyond your planned departure date (some nationalities, e.g. Canadians, need 3 months beyond departure)
• QR code from the electronic immigration form
• Return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation and sufficient funds may be requested
• Make sure the officer stamps your passport; the stamp shows your permitted stay
• Children travelling alone or with one parent may need a notarised consent letter and a birth certificate
• Yellow fever certificate if arriving from a country with yellow fever risk
• Declare goods that may be prohibited or subject to duty

How to avoid overstaying

• Go by your stamp or visa. The date the officer gives you is the one that counts, even if it is shorter than the maximum.
• Plan to leave a day or two early. With 42 days, book your exit before the last legal day so a cancelled flight doesn't push you over.
• Extend before you run out. Apply in person at the Immigration Department in Castries before your stamped stay ends.
• What overstaying costs. Overstaying or working without a work permit is illegal.
