Mexico visa for Emirati citizens

Visa-free

180 days visa-free

Emirati citizens can visit Mexico without a visa for up to 180 days. Tourists may be granted up to 180 days, but the immigration officer decides how many days you get at entry; ask for the days you need and keep proof of your trip plan, accommodation and funds ready. Land arrivals need a digital FMM; at airports the days are recorded with the entry stamp.

What it means in practice

180 days is about six months. If you arrive on 1 November 2026, your last legal day is 29 April 2027, because the arrival day is day one. Use the stay calculator for your own dates.

That is long enough to rent a place for a season, but a visitor stay is not residence: it does not give you the right to work for a local employer.

How Mexico counts your stay: You may stay only the number of days granted at entry (maximum 180), counted from the entry date. Leaving Mexico ends that stay; the next entry gets a new decision.

Before you go

Official details are shown in English.

  • Digital FMM (Forma Migratoria Múltiple) for land entry — Before arriving at a land border; print it and bring it with your passport; Visitor fee (Derecho de No Residente) paid through the INM portal; amount set each year by the Federal Rights Law. Fill in at the INM website. Grants visitor status without permission to work, maximum 180 days, single entry; validity starts when the immigration stamp is applied. Paying does not guarantee entry. Travellers arriving by air do not need it: the visitor fee is included in the airline ticket. Official site

At the border

  • Valid passport for the whole stay
  • State how many days you need; the officer writes the number of authorised days on the entry stamp or FMM — check it before leaving the counter
  • Be ready to show a return or onward ticket, accommodation and enough funds (consulates suggest about USD 50 per day as a guide)
  • Visa-required nationals using a US/Canada/UK/Schengen/Japan visa: the visa must be valid on the day of entry

How to avoid overstaying

  • Go by your stamp or visa. The date the officer gives you is the one that counts, even if it is shorter than the maximum.
  • Plan to leave a day or two early. With 180 days, book your exit before the last legal day so a cancelled flight doesn't push you over.
  • Extend before you run out. A visitor stay cannot normally be extended beyond the days granted. Overstaying is regularised at an INM office or at departure with a fine.
  • What overstaying costs. Overstaying is regularised at an INM office or at departure with a fine.
